Mold Prevention

• Keep bathrooms, crawl spaces, and any other living area clean and dry
• If carpet or furnishings become wet, ensure they are thoroughly dried
• If your home is suddenly flooded, call A #1 Emergency to have the home dried quickly
• Humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air conditioning units should be regularly cleaned with a disinfectant
• Individuals with sensitivities to mold spores, mites, as well as those with asthma should have their carpet professionally cleaned using a hot water deep soil extraction method
• Regularly use a vacuum with a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter
• Immediately repair any leaky faucets, pipes, roof, or anything else that allows moisture into your home

Mold Remediation

Mold can appear for various reasons, but the most common way is from uncontrolled water damage. Many types of mold require a high moisture level to thrive during initial growth, but when mature can survive and reproduce at low moisture, standard indoor humidity levels.

If mold is left untreated, structural problems may occur.
